another happy before and after

can you guess the latest and greatest?

everyone told me i was crazy but i remained unmoved.  and now with all that work no one even notices.  the door!  i could not live with that ghetto duplex door on the front of my house.  tell me it’s not true?

(well i couldn’t exactly live with the rest of the house either, now that you mention it.)  in any case, the door is gone.  meanwhile i’m still holding out for arches on the porch and this little round window where the door used to be.  and a fence.  not to mention these lovely house numbers.  really i’m just getting started.  you should see the party we have going on out back.  it’s enough to make you ill.

and naturally, once we took the door out we had to put it back somewhere else.  which is simply a matter of knowing the right people.

and presto.

of course i had to paint the doors pink while i was at it.  they probably looked better white, but that just isn’t any fun.  i also felt the urge to take the screen door down.  i tried to explain this urge to marc but he didn’t understand.  apparently the screen door is useful.

i also feel the urge for pink window boxes.  and gutters.  apparently my soul is a bottomless pit of remodeling desires.  that’s why i’m also irresistibly attractive, otherwise my husband would have caught on to me by now.  i still think that’s a pretty mean trick god played on the unfortunate sex, we do feel sorry for them.
