the cutest birthday ever

jael went to giabella’s birthday last weekend.  it was darling.  jael still runs around in her butterfly wings completely enchanted with herself.

gia was jael’s consorting cupcake criminal at her last birthday.  i think they are wicked cute together.

the young ladies could get used to being waited on.  their inner princesses came out immediately.  they loved it.

jael even loved her antennas.  she didn’t take them off for two days.

they read the hungry caterpillar and practiced turning into butterflies.

and after playing musical butterflies they all got prizes.  much to their satisfaction.

followed by tea.

and the lemon cupcakes were delish.

i just wish i could decorate my yard with gigantic tissue flowers on a permanent basis.  that would be the thing.

jael giving gia her birthday apron.

what lovely ladies.

and someday they will be all grown up.

    Hi Miranda,

Thanks for your comments on my blog recently. Thought I’d drop in to let you know that, yes, I am still alive and actually quite busy, just not in the blogosphere right now.

What a darling b’day party! My little girl will turn 3 on Christmas Day and we’re already in the process of gathering party ideas…so thanks. And that apron is DARLING. Did you use a pattern?

And I love the name Verity, but my husband doesn’t. 😦 The boy name we’ve chosen for this baby is Valiant Robert, and our girl name is Felicity Marie.

    Take care. 🙂

I just realized…your actual name might not be Miranda! Sorry! That didn’t click until just a few minutes ago.

jessica – i got the name from miss marple’s “nemesis.” it’s the only show i’ve been watching lately. i just love the costumes and setting. what other shows feature toast racks and tea cozies?

anyway, the episode centers around a girl named verity. it’s just fun to hear the name used in context. it grows on you. and i love felicity and valiant as well. great picks.
