way past letting go

i should have gave the ol’ britax the boot a long time ago.  instead i drag it out and patch it up, yet again.  the last wash the cover was so shredded that i thought, “there is no way i am patching that.”  and i set it out in the garbage.  where my husband rescued it and cozied it away in the attic until i would feel more keen on patching it later.  or at least a little more desperate.

what a job.  i broke 8 needles, said a few bad words (“bollocks!”  “…uhm, honey, just because you swear in english doesn’t mean it’s not swearing.”) and made a terrible mess of my basement.  but didn’t have to buy a new car seat.

yippity.

the boys say it is “soooo beautiful because it is for gwill.”  and girl likes it too.  she feels so big.  “i can see!  i can fly!”

not to mention, by kid number four it will be all patches.  then it will be super swell.   i will probably never be able to throw it away.

well, mostly because i will never have the $280 for a new one.  (the straps don’t tangle on a britax, you know.  you have no other choice, britax forever!)

That is so awesome. I love how personal it has become. BTW, I think you can buy replacement covers (should this one get too holey) but that wouldn’t be as cool.

Jael really does look like she is happy in her new car seat. What thrifty fellow Boy is. Love Mom.
