“we like lots of snow”

that’s the song my dad used to make us sing to make it snow. eventually we discovered it was no match for global warming and gave up (although my little sister still seems to cling to hope). back in the day, in deary, idaho, it used to be that two feet of snow was paltry. now, i believe, they are reduced to measuring things in terms of inches. anyways, it snowed this morning in boise, so i threw the boys out to live up their inch and a half. hooray.

gideon was not impressed and thought it was too cold. i told him to tough it up and that someday there wouldn’t be snow.
