26 weeks

here is the little scrom sleeping with his hand against his face.

notice i am saying “his” now. the doctor is voting for a boy because of a consistently low heart rate. i hadn’t really bothered with boy names because i just assumed it was a girl. actually, i do have a boy name, i just haven’t really bothered with the fact that my husband hates it. “phinehas edwin otto”, another bible name. this is his story from the book of numbers, illustrated in legos. (i didn’t know legos could be so explicit, by the way. i guess it’s just another instance of why the bible isn’t illustrated and children’s bibles are so short.)

after that, i run out of ideas. i kind of like the name “uriah”, but he just doesn’t have the same flair as phinehas. he gets himself murdered and someone else makes off with his hot wife. a real nice guy though.

yes, i do like “ehud”. marc doesn’t. marc is the one who keeps me from naming my children “edwina” and “nimrod”. what would i do without him? but “ehud” is such a great story. (since he is left handed, he is able to smuggle his sword into the palace and stab fat king eglon. eglon is so fat that the sword is entirely enveloped in his fleshly bits and ultimately left there. see, what did i say? good story.)

Ehud? I like David. And Samuel. And Noah. And Adam. Abel. Abraham. Peter. Jude.Josiah. There are names that don’t sound like regurgitation in the bible.

i can just see three little boys in bib overalls, no shirts, bare feet and covered from head to toe in dirt, having the best time exploring.

So I notice this is an old post, but I was cruising around looking for images of 26 week old fetus’ and saw yours.

I am currently a little over 26 weeks along, also expecting a boy. I LOVE the name Phineas, but my husband won’t let me.

Just wanted to drop a note to say hello. (I like to let ppl know I’ve visited them.)

    Take Care,
    Christine

christine – oh too much fun. phinehas is a great name, i don’t know if i’ll get back around to it for a while. i want a girl (rahab hazel) and a boy (ehud douglas) first. then maybe a phinehas trent and a judith wilda (middle names are always familiy, so that’s not random, if you were wondering).

so many baby names, so little time…

oh yes, the one pictured actually turned out to be “jael genevieve.” surprise, surprise.
