“lions eat chickens.”

this was gideon’s apt observation on their halloween costumes. jehu, on the other hand, was not quite sure why he had suddenly became so tasty.

even all the old ladies were trying to eat him. we went to the harvest festival at church last saturday night and apparently i was the only parent, among hundreds, who saw fit to dress up her children. they were quite famous. “look! it’s the lion and the chicken!” this was the universal, salivating, response of old ladies and junior high girls alike. it’s dangerous when you are so delectable.

gideon, however, was able to remain fierce. we had to pull him off a couple little boys who were unaware of what else lions, apparently, eat. (by the way, they only see fit to eat the caramel, off caramel apples and the cheese off nachos. it’s a strange way of life.)
