it may be redundant, but i just love printing things on paper. i think it gives you a high.

i knew she wanted out.
especially when i crammed all that christmas cheesecake, trifle, peanut butter m&m’s and lemon bars on top of her. there’s just not room for babies and holidays.
6 lbs. 14 oz.
20.5 inches long. born december 26th.
fortunately we brought the baby’s car seat on vacation. which means we will even get to bring her home with us. (we were at grammy’s for christmas so she got to be born in the same hospital as her daddy.)
she is the perfect addition.
happy christmas rahab hazel otto. ♥
“hey mother, why are you walking around talking to yourself?” that’s exactly how i felt. so excuse the awkwardness as i give you a tour.
all i have to do to feel sufficiently grateful about my lot in life is to watch the old tour. now that’s just depressing. anyways, the cookies are in progress and i am off to cream some neon frosting. hooray for the holidays!
yes, and then we pass them out to the neighbors.
i invited a few of marc’s friends over and had him cook them dinner. it goes without saying that if i loved him more, i would learn how to cook indian food myself.
still, he’s pretty impressive when he starts cooking six things at once. the menu was fried masala potatoes, basmati rice, fried tindoras, spiced vegetable salad, okra sambar, tamarind rasam, papads with mint and tamarind chutneys, mango lassis and frybread. and that was some good eating.
quite a few of marc’s friends from high school have collected in boise. it’s nice to have them around. (plus, they all have cute and darling wives who make cute and darling babies. which makes everybody happy all around.)
below is marc with brian and brady, “his brothers by another mother.” all three were born on the same day, in the same hospital, just down the hall from each other. *and* all three are red haired, tall, giant headed and ornery. (you can ask their mothers.)
for his birthday marc got an ipod touch. so a big thank you to violet, grandma, sister sarah, doug, megan, uncle reuben and the ottoscroms for going in on it. daddy boy is loved for sure. and last night he didn’t have to keep me up reading with the light on since he repined in the glowing light of his freshly downloaded esv. and this morning the new, needy and expensive pet woke us up at 6:00 to the lovely sound of church bells. so i think we can be friends. even though i will probably now be in second place when vying for boy’s affections. fortunately, i know how to take hostages.
