actually, it was yesterday. 268 posts with 48,000 happy viewers. (well, except for all those hunting for porn. my apologies to those whose search for “hooters” and ended up with nursing covers. very disappointing, i understand.) which reminds me, the only reason anyone visits me is for that stinkin’ tutorial. i feel so unloved. but i did find this sweet apron at hancock fabrics to give away. i must like some of you.

just leave your name and email. i was going to sew something, i swear. but my internal calendar was over a week off. almost missed it altogether.
almost forgot, i will draw for the apron on thursday. right before i head out of town on the weekend to my little brother’s graduation.
you can put my name in for the apron. i think natalie would love it
I found your site for the hooter hider tutorial but thought you were so hilarious I kept reading. Now I check all the time!
oh! well that makes me feel sooo much beter.
I found your site through the Spaceship Invitations back in December and have been reading ever since. Although, I do only love you for the hooter tutorial
Thanks for the all the laughs! Happy Blogiversary.
Pick me, pick me! (Although I probably won’t be able to sew much for a while.)
Also, I guarantee that I did not find you via your tutorial.
I didn’t find you for the hooters either, just the family site but I did check out the tutorial and all your other cute stuff and wished even more that I could sew. Oh well, I’m learning. You should check out our site and I’m latest sewing disaster…. poor crotchless child that gets those shorts
I definitely didn’t find you through the tutorial. In fact, I haven’t even read the tutorial. Which means I really love you, because I have no tutorial motives at all.
Pick me.
Happy Blogiversary! You inspire to think about blogging more. Which is close to actually blogging more I’m sure.
happy anniversary!
i stumbled across your blog via another friend’s blog. i just keep coming back for the updates and entertainment! it’s such a fun blog, and i must admit :), you inspired me with your hooter hider tutorial! i made one for my sister-in-law (who’s expecting any day now), and she loves it!
it was my first sewing project since middle school, so let’s just say it works but it wasn’t exactly to specifications. haha, maybe next time it will turn out better! thanks for the blog, looking forward to reading more mavis adventures.
OK, I admit I did find you via a google search for a free hootie pattern. I’ve made 3 so far; so easy and handy! I’m loving using mine with my 6-day old. I’d beg you to pick me, pick me (I’m addicted to aprons) but I’m rather normal and boring and can’t tell you much to recommend me.
I will say that I do read your blog all the time; in fact, your blog is in my Google Reader list so I can catch you every time you update. Plus, I’ve been to Boise! My best friend from college was from Post Falls, ID (up by Spokane) and her extended family was from Nampa. So I’ve been to Boise a few times and even spent one Thanksgiving weekend in Nampa, bustling metropolis that it is. You’re a hoot, Mavis, and I love your funny blog. Makes me feel normal.
I came for the hooter hider, but I stayed for the witty repartee!
Not only are you my crafting idol, your kids are adorable and your blog is hilarious… Happy blogiversary!
Mavis your the best! Not many people can make me laugh out loud when I’m by myself;however your blog…. mission accomplished!
Happy Anniversary.
I confess…I am one who found you while looking for the afore mentioned tutorial…and am so glad I found it! What a wonderful tutorial it is. I made one without a hitch.
With completed tutorial behind me I still check in on what you are doing most every morning as I drink my coffee. Your family is adorable, and I think of this morning click as a visit…
From one apron lover to another…your apron is beautiful! I’d be a way proud wearer of that one! (wouldn’t want to get it dirty…it would likely end up in my first-born granddaughter’s hope chest!)
As a matter of fact, your full of wonderful ideas…that’s why we keep coming back!
Here’s to another year!
Judy
oh my. i’ve never been the kind of person who could take a compliment. now you all are making me squirm. but it is good to know i am liked, even if it is by a bunch of crazy womenfolk.
thanks*m
I did find you on a quest for hooter hiders. I keep reading because you’re so darn clever!
It’s so nice of you to still consider all of you invisible blogger friends–even after just recently having a baby, moving into your new home and maintaining your three boys. My Super hero!
I too have been back for every post since the tutorial too
Hey!
I did find you through the hooter hider tutorial but I read your blog almost daily, you crack me up and our husbands are dopple-gangers (sp?)
Happy Blogiversary! Oh and I love the apron, count me in!
p.s. I have a leg warmer tutorial on my blog, so it can be like we traded!

Note to Jamime…
what a sweet tutorial. I’ve got grandgirls who would look darling in your leg warmers! Sure beats crocheting them! I’d never been to your blog but have it bookmarked.
Judy
so jill it is. don’t forget to model it for us when it arrives safe and sound.
